U13 Trophies were presented by our Sponsor Mr Ron Powell of Wrightsure Services Ltd. 

  
     
  The second leg of the Annual East Sussex Championships got under way at the Helenswood Leisure Centre, Hastings this weekend. This was the U13 and U16 event and by the look of the entries, was going to be another long day. The event saw several ‘no-shows’, probably due to it being half-term, therefore making some last minute re-scheduling and group alterations.  Despite the heavy adjustments, play was continuous and the tournament managed to finish on time.  To accommodate extra play ‘Plate’ positions were introduced by the dextrous tournament referee, ‘retired' Chairman Bruce Peapell.  If only all parents were aware of the amount of time and effort put into the planning of such an event!  The courts were once again managed by our older players and squad coaches with Valerie Brown on the score boards.
