The
annual East Sussex Junior U11 Championships was held at Helenswood Leisure
Centre, Hastings. The entry levels were so high, 50 boys and 22 girls, that
the organisers were debating having to restrict numbers. In all, 327 games
of singles were played with many close fought battles between the young
athletes. This very successful event was due to several factors:- the high
entry level, support of the parents and Freedom Leisure, and the
preparation and organisation of ESJBA Chairman, David Fletcher (even though
he had to leave halfway through the day due to coaching commitments in
Uganda) and his team of coaches and young assistants. |
